Anaklia is a new resort on the Black Sea coast. The resort was opened in 2011 by Georgian President M. Sakashvili. At the time of the opening, two large hotels (5 stars) and an embankment were designed by the Spanish architect.
Today Anaklia continues to develop. In a year at least 2 large hotels are being built. And in 2012, Anaklia opened an aqua park, which was built by a well-known Canadian company.
The village of Anaklia itself is located near the border with Abkhazia. The village is located on a flat terrain. This part of Georgia is famous for a large number of sunny days a year. The sea in Anaklia is quite warm with clean beaches of dark sand.
